POSTING OF MATERIAL ON THE PERSONNEL COUNCIL WEBSITE
Published December, 2007

With the exception of the Calendar of Events page of the Personnel Council’s website, all publications, announcements, news bulletins and requests for posting information on the Personnel Council Website (website) must be directed to the Executive Assistant, prior to posting. As a general rule, the website shall serve as an electronic bulletin board for information generated by the Personnel Council Executive Committee, one of its subcommittees, or developed in conjunction with Personnel Council activities and initiatives. Information that does not meet these criteria will generally not be posted.

The Executive Assistant will forward the information/request to the Chair of the Communications sub-committee with background information with respect to the source of the request.  Based upon its relationship to Personnel Council activities, goals or objectives, the Communications sub-committee Chair determines appropriateness for posting or, if warranted, forwards the request for review by the Chair of the Executive Committee.

Determinations will be returned to the Executive Assistant who will advise the requestor of determination and if appropriate, process the posting through the Webmaster at Civil Service.

DISSEMINATION OF  INFORMATION VIA THE PERSONNEL COUNCIL’S DISTRIBUTION LIST

On a routine basis, the Personnel Council Executive Assistant disseminates relevant information to the general personnel community through e-mail distribution to primary and alternate members. Such information includes, but is not limited to, Commission Calendar, Disposition of Commission Meetings, postings for state and local HR positions, General Information Bulletins and Advisory Memos from the Department of Civil Service. Primary and alternate members are included in the BCC line only.

On an ad hoc basis, requests are received to disseminate information from other state entities, profit and not-for-profit organizations. Such requests are to be directed to the Executive Assistant who, in turn, will forward the request to the Chair of the Executive Committee and Chair of the Communications Sub-committee.  If consensus is reached as to the relevance of the information to the personnel community, then appropriate action is taken (either denied or approved and disseminated).  If further consideration is thought necessary, the Chair may elect to obtain feedback from the Executive Committee.
