Tax Appeals, Division of(External Link)

Undergraduate (sophmore or above)

We target students who are just beginning their second year of law school and who have an interest in tax law and have a background in accounting and/or English.
The internships run from the beginning of the student's second year and continue until graduation at the end of the student's third year in law school. We stagger the terms of the students so that we have a second year and third year student working at the same time. When the third year student graduates in May or June, the second year student stays on full time for the summer and another second year student comes on board in September.

The work involves legal research, editing of tax law judge decisions and drafting quasi judicial orders.

The internship is a paid position. The students work part time during the school year and full time during the summer. No college credit is granted.
