Notification
After you file your application, you will be notified by mail if it has been approved or disapproved. If your application is not approved, you will be given the reason for the disapproval.
If your application is approved and the examination consists of a written test, you will receive an admission notice. This notice will tell you where and when to report to take the test. Read it carefully and be sure to bring it with you when you go to the test center. Admission notices are usually mailed to candidates about ten days before the written test. If you do not receive your notice at least three days before the test date, you should immediately phone the Arrangements Unit of the State Department of Civil Service.
